Harneet & Gary: Architectural Drama at Universal Event Space

For Harneet and Gary's wedding reception at Universal Event Space, the inspiration was bold, architectural, and deeply atmospheric.

Their original vision brought together dramatic architectural spaces, suspended floral installations, romantic textures, and a sophisticated jewel-toned palette of burgundy, deep green, fuchsia, and plum.

The challenge was bringing those diverse inspirations together in a way that felt cohesive rather than overwhelming.

Transforming Inspiration into Original Design

Our interpretation centred on a series of dramatic burgundy architectural installations featuring intricate geometric latticework and sweeping arches.

Suspended above the celebration, these structures created a sense of architectural rhythm while dramatically transforming the scale and atmosphere of the venue.

Oversized cylindrical lanterns, illuminated details, and suspended floral compositions introduced softness and warmth against the bold structural elements.

One of the defining features of the design was the use of layered botanical artwork.

Rather than introducing disconnected decorative patterns, we carried a consistent floral motif throughout the space—from the custom flooring and architectural finishes to the statement bar installations.

This repetition helped establish a recognizable visual identity across the entire reception.

From 3D Wedding Renderings to the Finished Experience

Through our original design renderings, we explored the relationship between the stage, suspended structures, flooring, furniture, floral compositions, and lighting.

The renderings allowed us to communicate the intended scale, material finishes, colour relationships, and spatial composition before the design moved into production.

In the finished celebration, the burgundy structures became powerful architectural focal points, while the patterned flooring, bespoke bar finishes, rich florals, and warm lighting connected the different areas.

The result was a layered, immersive wedding environment in which each design element felt connected to the next.

The intention was never to reproduce a reference image. It was to capture the feeling behind the inspiration and transform it into something entirely original.

Parul & Yuri: A Richly Layered Wedding at the Royal Ontario Museum

While Harneet and Gary's celebration explored bold architectural forms, Parul and Yuri's wedding at the Royal Ontario Museum followed a different creative direction.

Here, the design centred on rich textiles, sculptural floral compositions, custom patterns, and atmospheric lighting.

The concept embraced deep burgundy, warm metallic tones, expressive botanical textures, and carefully layered details.

Designing Through Texture, Colour, and Contrast

The original renderings explored how dramatic drapery could frame intimate focal points, while bespoke patterns and floral arrangements introduced depth and movement.

Richly gathered textiles created a theatrical backdrop for a personalized installation featuring the couple's monogram.

Custom patterned surfaces and floral elements were developed to complement the architectural setting, while coordinated furniture and tablescapes brought a sense of intimacy to the larger environment.

Every design decision was considered within the overall composition.

The contrast between structured architectural elements and organic floral arrangements became an important part of the visual story.

Bringing the Design into the Venue

As the concept moved into reality, the finished environment revealed the richness of the original palette and material choices.

Dramatically draped fabric framed the personalized backdrop, complemented by expressive floral arrangements and warm lighting.

Velvet-covered tables, purple upholstered seating, elegant table lamps, and curated floral compositions continued the design language across the guest experience.

The finished design demonstrated how the relationship between materials, colour, and lighting can create a sense of atmosphere that extends beyond any single installation.
