Hotel X Toronto Wedding Decor Guide
Hotel X Toronto is one of the most modern wedding venues in the city — full glass walls, clean architectural lines, and natural light that carries beautifully from day to night. As designers, we like this venue because it gives you a strong canvas without needing heavy draping or flooring upgrades. With the right florals, layout, and signature elements, the space becomes warm, inviting, and visually striking.
In this guide, you’ll find everything couples typically search for before booking:
capacity, rooms, layout tips, décor ideas, load-in logistics, and real examples from two weddings we designed — one in Victory Ballroom and one in New Fort Hall.
Why Hotel X Works So Well for Weddings
Floor-to-ceiling glass lets natural light fill the space
Contemporary, neutral interiors that don’t compete with decor
Multiple rooms for different guest counts
On-site hotel (404 guest rooms & 39 suites)
Easy access for guests traveling from out of town
Water views that photograph beautifully
A modern base for both minimalist and floral-forward weddings
Hotel X feels fresh and modern, which is why many couples choose it over more traditional ballrooms.
Real Wedding #1 — Neel & Gita in Victory Ballroom
Design Overview
For Neel & Gita, the goal was to create an elevated, Roman-inspired look using taupe stone tones, gold accents, and structured floral work. Their design included:
A roman-inspired visual aesthetic
Gold wainscoting details
Custom bar wrap
Personalized dance floor
Mirror decals and printed quotes
A structured sweetheart table moment
Floral detailing across the room
Their first look — captured in the Pinterest video you will embed — was a genuine reaction to the room reveal, which happened at 5:30pm when the natural light transitions into evening glow.
Room & Production Details
Victory Ballroom wasn’t fully cleared from the previous night’s event when we arrived, so our build started later than planned. This meant managing:
A compressed setup window
Coordinating around existing items
Multiple small design details needing precision
Even with the delayed start, the room came together smoothly once cleared. Hotel X’s staff was helpful, and the final reveal captured the exact mood Neel & Gita had envisioned.
Victory Ballroom — What Couples Should Know
Capacity: Up to 500 guests
Size: 6,346 sq ft
Ceiling height: 14’1”
Best for: Grand receptions, large guest counts, elevated productions
Lighting: Windows create a natural glow at sunset; candlelight reflects well in the evening
Design tip: Elevated floral pieces keep lines of sight open and lean into the room’s vertical height
Victory Ballroom is perfect for couples who want a spacious, modern reception with room for a feature dance floor, large installations, or a full floral layout.
Real Wedding #2 — Marwa & Sher in New Fort Hall
Guest count: 120
Timeline: Afternoon room reveal around 3pm
Theme: Floral, garden-inspired
Spaces used: New Fort Hall + Lounge Area Outside
Design Overview
Marwa & Sher wanted a fresh, garden-inspired wedding with a soft floral aesthetic. Their vision included:
A floral chuppah-style backdrop
A signature cake placed as a feature
Coordinated centrepieces across the room
A clean, intentional floorplan
A cozy lounge setup outside the hall
The afternoon reveal allowed natural sunlight to fill New Fort Hall’s glass-enclosed space, creating a bright, airy look during the ceremony. As evening approached, the glass offered a contrasting warm glow — a signature Hotel X moment.
Logistics & On-Site Experience
Load-in at New Fort Hall is generally very smooth. During this event, the only delay was a glass panel that needed to be reset and cleaned. Once fixed, the rest of the setup moved quickly.
New Fort Hall — What Couples Should Know
Capacity: Up to 200 guests
Size: 2,876 sq ft
Best for: Intimate weddings, floral-forward designs, modern chuppahs, daytime events
Unique feature: A glass-enclosed archaeological display built into the room
Design tip: Afternoon sunlight is ideal; evening lighting creates a warm ambience
New Fort Hall is a great fit for couples who prefer a smaller guest count and want decor to feel intentional, not overwhelming.
