From Boardrooms to Ballrooms: How Ethereal Creators Redefine Luxury Event Design
In Toronto’s fast-paced event world, the line between corporate gatherings and luxury weddings is becoming beautifully blurred. Whether it’s a boardroom-inspired brand launch or a ballroom wedding celebration, today’s clients expect more than decoration — they want immersive experiences that tell a story.
At Ethereal Creators, we bring the same artistry, precision, and passion to both corporate galas and bespoke weddings. Our process always begins with the client’s vision and evolves through multiple design reviews, site visits, and in-person meetings, ensuring every event feels tailor-made. From fundraising galas to multi-day wedding celebrations, our approach is consistent: design with impact, execute with excellence.
Corporate Case Study: The Red Masquerade Party at Universal Event Space
Corporate events often require balancing brand identity with creativity. For the United Thermo Red Masquerade Party at Universal Event Space, we were given the rare gift of creative freedom. The only guideline? Align the design with the company’s brand colors.
In collaboration with Lida from The Creative Studio Toronto, we imagined and executed an immersive masquerade atmosphere:
Rich red and gold draping to transform the ballroom.
Cascading chandeliers and layered lighting to set a dramatic tone.
Bold textures and theatrical detailing to create mystery and glamour.
The result was a corporate celebration that felt as immersive and high-impact as a luxury wedding reception. Guests didn’t just attend an event — they were transported into another world.
Wedding Contrast: Globe & Mail Four-Colour Sangeet
Weddings, while different in purpose, share the same need for bold, memorable storytelling. For the Four-Colour Sangeet at the Globe & Mail Centre, we designed a vibrant, playful event that embraced sculptural fabrics, color-blocked lounge seating, and bold cultural symbolism.
Where the Masquerade leaned into drama and elegance, the Sangeet celebrated joy and community. By layering bright berry, pink, green, and blue zones throughout the venue, we created a space that felt both energetic and deeply personal.
Together, these two events showcase our versatility: the same Ethereal Creators team delivering a mysterious corporate masquerade one week and a joyful, cultural wedding celebration the next.
Core Principle: Bespoke Design, Always
At the heart of everything we do is one guiding principle: every event is bespoke. No two clients, couples, or brands are alike — so no two events should ever look or feel the same.
Our designs are always anchored in:
Floral artistry that sets the emotional tone.
Bespoke builds like custom backdrops, ceiling installations, and architectural elements.
Immersive guest experiences that transform venues into worlds of their own.
This is why both corporate clients and wedding couples trust us: they know their event will feel like a true reflection of their identity and vision.
Partnerships that Build Excellence
Great design doesn’t happen in isolation — it thrives in collaboration. Over the years, we’ve partnered with some of Toronto’s leading event planners to bring extraordinary visions to life:
Diana Pires – Living Luxe Awards, where bold design met the glamour of a luxury awards show.
Roxy, Art of Celebrations – SickKids Gala, where elegance and purpose came together to inspire generosity.
Lida, The Creative Studio Toronto – Red Masquerade Party, where brand storytelling and creative freedom redefined corporate design.
These partnerships reflect our commitment to collaborative creativity, ensuring every event benefits from the combined strengths of Toronto’s top designers and planners.
Vision for 2025
Looking ahead, the trends shaping event design in 2025 are bold and ambitious:
Ceiling Treatments: Large-scale floral and fabric installations that redefine entire rooms.
Architectural Backdrops: Sculptural, custom-built frames that balance artistry with structure.
Large-Scale Florals: From cascading sweetheart tables to immersive entryways, flowers will continue to dominate as the emotional centerpiece of events.
