Toronto's Best Luxury Wedding Décor Studio: Our Work Across 10 Venues
Ten Venues. One Standard.
There are a lot of wedding florists in Toronto. There are far fewer luxury event designers — studios that arrive at a venue not just to deliver flowers, but to transform an entire space from the ceiling to the floor, from the entrance to the stage, from the first moment guests arrive to the last photograph of the evening.
Ethereal Creators is the second kind.
Founded by Abdul and Hafsa Qureshi, Ethereal Creators has spent over five years designing complete wedding environments at Toronto and the GTA's most iconic venues — from the Five-Diamond Four Seasons in Yorkville to the grandeur of Universal Event Space in Vaughan, from the Gothic towers of Casa Loma to the intimate luxury of Deer Creek. Across more than 100 weddings, featured ten times in WedLuxe, and followed by 70,000+ on Instagram, we have built a body of work that speaks for itself.
This is that work. All ten venues. Every couple. The full portfolio — and the stories behind each design.

Why Venue Diversity Is the Mark of a True Luxury Designer
Any studio can learn one venue well. A great wedding designer can walk into any space — a limestone castle, a glass-walled Yorkville hotel, a 40,000 sq ft South Asian ballroom — and immediately understand what the architecture demands, what the light does, what the ceiling can hold, and how to design within it rather than against it.
Over ten venues, you develop an instinct. You know that Casa Loma's stone walls absorb colour rather than reflect it, so florals need to be richer and more voluminous. You know that the Four Seasons' contemporary palette is a canvas that rewards restraint. You know that Universal Event Space's ceiling height invites a truss system and that ceiling work there changes the entire room.
This knowledge cannot be faked — and it cannot be bought. It comes from doing the work, repeatedly, at the highest level. What follows is the evidence.

The design centrepiece was a custom three-panel toile de Jouy mural — an English garden landscape printed at ballroom scale and used simultaneously as the head table backdrop and bar installation backdrop. The bridal bouquet, a cascading design of calla lilies, White Cloud roses, and hanging green amaranthus, received over 6,000 social media likes.
The Four Seasons is Toronto's finest canvas. Our job was to dress it in a way worthy of that reputation — and of Vanessa and Bruno's vision. — Abdul Qureshi, Ethereal Creators

The Shangri-La's grand ballroom is one of the most versatile spaces in the city — high ceilings, neutral tones, and flexible room configurations. For Mark and Carly's wedding, the design challenge was to honour Jewish ceremony traditions through design rather than just aesthetics. The chuppah was the architectural heart of the room: four floral columns, a fabric canopy, and a backdrop that worked both as ceremony centrepiece and as the head table backdrop during the reception.
Casa Loma
VENUE 03 OF 10
Rabeea & Jack · Toronto's Fairy Tale Castle
✦ Gothic Architecture · Garden Ceremony
Venue: Casa Loma, 1 Austin Terrace, Toronto

Key Elements
Ceremony florals complementing stone architecture, garden installation, reception design in the Great Hall
Aesthetic
Romantic, old-world, lush — organic florals that feel as though they grew from the castle itself
What Makes It Unique
No other Toronto venue offers the drama of a castle backdrop — and no two rooms at Casa Loma are the same

Casa Loma is the most architecturally demanding venue in Toronto. The stone absorbs colour, the proportions are theatrical, and every room has its own character. Our design approach here was different from any hotel wedding: instead of transforming the space, we collaborated with it. Every floral element was chosen to feel like it belonged to the castle — discovered rather than installed.

The Ritz-Carlton tests a florist's precision more than almost any other Toronto venue. The ballroom's symmetry demands that every centrepiece reads identically from across the room. Every stem is placed with the knowledge that this space has hosted royalty — and the flowers should feel like they belong in that company.
Omni King Edward Hotel
VENUE 05 OF 10
Chantol & William · Toronto's Grand Dame
✦ Historic Grandeur · Belle Époque Elegance

Belle Époque romance — lush, layered, richly detailed
Design Insight
The King Edward's existing ornamentation is extraordinary. Our rule here: add to the conversation, never shout over it

Designing for the King Edward requires a specific kind of restraint. The hotel's original ceiling plasterwork, carved columns, and vintage crystal chandeliers are themselves décor. Our florals for Chantol and William's wedding were designed to feel like a natural extension of that heritage — as though the room had always looked this way, and always would.

Universal Event Space
VENUE 07 OF 10
Harneet & Gary · 526 Guests
✦ Full Ceiling Installation · Truss Rigging · Engagement + Wedding
At 526 guests, Harneet and Gary's wedding at Universal Event Space is the most logistically complex event in our portfolio. A 40-foot ceiling span. A 9-page rigging plan. Drum elements suspended over the 27'×27' dance floor. A dramatic curved seating chart moment in the entrance foyer. The full scope required an overnight installation and a team operating with military precision — and the room it produced was unlike anything we had done before.
When 526 people walk into a room and the first thing they do is look up, you know the ceiling was right. — Hafsa Qureshi, Ethereal Creators

Copper Creek offered something different from every other venue in our portfolio: natural light, open air, and a course landscape that became part of the design. Sukhmeet and Ashish's pastel wedding leaned into the outdoor setting entirely — florals that looked like they had been gathered from a summer garden, arrangements that breathed and moved with the light. No ceiling to dress. Just the sky.

White Oaks occupies a rare position in Ontario's wedding landscape: a world-class resort venue within two hours of Toronto, set in the heart of Niagara wine country. Designing here required understanding that the venue itself — its architecture, its landscape, its wine country character — was already doing significant design work. Our job was to complement, elevate, and bring the couple's vision into a space that had its own strong personality.

Deer Creek represents Ethereal Creators' reach across the full GTA — from Yorkville penthouses to Durham Region banquet facilities. Rahul and Aarohi's wedding proved a truth we return to constantly: luxury is not determined by postal code. It is determined by the intention behind every design decision. The same standard of craftsmanship, the same fresh florals, the same precision in execution — regardless of where the venue sits on the map.
What Ten Venues Taught Us About Luxury Design
After designing across ten venues, some things become clear that are impossible to learn from a single project. Here is what working at this range of spaces has taught us about what luxury wedding design actually requires:
1. Every Venue Has a Language — Learn to Speak It
The Four Seasons speaks contemporary restraint. Casa Loma speaks Gothic romance. Universal Event Space speaks South Asian grandeur. A luxury designer does not arrive with one voice and project it onto every space — they arrive fluent in the venue's own language and add the couple's dialect to it. This is the most important skill in event design and the hardest one to teach.
2. The Ceiling Is Half the Room
Ten venues confirmed what we already suspected: the ceiling treatment defines the atmosphere more than anything on the floor. At Universal Event Space, the truss installation changed the entire character of a 40-foot industrial ceiling. At the Four Seasons, a three-panel toile mural turned a neutral backdrop into a narrative. Every couple should ask: what is happening above their guests' heads?
3. Fresh Flowers Are Non-Negotiable
We have worked across luxury hotels, historic castles, golf clubs, and large South Asian event spaces. In every single environment, fresh florals perform in a way that artificial flowers cannot — they photograph differently, they fill the room with fragrance, and they signal to every guest that the couple invested in something real. Ethereal Creators uses fresh florals exclusively. This is not a policy. It is a commitment to quality.
4. Luxury Is Measured in Details, Not Volume
526 guests at Universal Event Space. 160 guests at the Four Seasons. 30 guests at a small outdoor ceremony. The guest count does not determine whether a wedding is luxurious — the precision of every decision does. A single perfectly arranged centrepiece at a small table communicates the same standard as forty of them across a grand ballroom. Scale reveals it.
5. The Entrance Sets Everything
Across ten venues, the most consistent finding: guests form their entire impression of a wedding in the first thirty seconds. The entrance, the foyer, the first moment of reveal — this is where emotion is created. Harneet and Gary's dramatic curved seating chart moment, Vanessa and Bruno's toile mural, Mark and Carly's chuppah visible from the doorway. Every one of these was designed to hit guests before they had time to think.
