What Does Luxury Wedding Decor Really Cost?

Inside 3 Real Weddings Designed by Ethereal Creators

What Does Luxury Wedding Decor Actually Cost?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this — and there shouldn’t be.

Every event we design at Ethereal Creators is custom-tailored to the couple, the venue, and the vision. But to help couples navigate what their budget can actually achieve, we’ve broken down three very real weddings across different price points.

From a greenery-filled greenhouse celebration to a multi-day wedding across Toronto’s most iconic venues — here’s a look at how much it costs to create beauty at every level.

Sofia & Vasu

Venue: Royal Ambassador
Guest Count: 200
Budget: $25,000 – $35,000
Theme: Greenhouse-Inspired with Heavy Greenery

With a manageable guest count and intentional design choices, this wedding shows how elegant decor can be achieved even with a modest budget.

We leaned into a greenhouse aesthetic — using lush greenery, natural textures, and round tables to simplify logistics and reduce labor. The couple opted for a minimalist backdrop and passed on larger installations in favor of ambiance-enhancing details that didn’t break the bank.

📝 Why it worked:

  • All round tables = fewer design elements needed

  • No ceiling treatment or major structures

  • Simple load-in, limited labor hours

Harneet & Gary

Venue: Château Le Parc
Guest Count: 300
Budget: $80,000 – $110,000
Design Focus: Full Immersion – Ceiling, Lounge, Custom Decor

For this high-energy engagement celebration, the couple wanted an immersive experience — not just florals, but a full-scale design statement.

We designed a custom ceiling treatment that required full rigging, partnered with BBLANC for execution ($20K+), and curated a plush lounge area with upgraded furniture rentals. The backdrop was entirely bespoke, complemented by premium chargers, linens, and napkins.

📝 Key cost drivers:

  • $20K for ceiling rigging

  • $10K for upgraded furniture

  • $6K for high-end tableware

  • Larger guest count = more tables, florals, staffing

Sapphire & Nadeen

Venues:
• Mehndi – Paletta Mansion (95 guests)
• Nikkah – Casa Loma Gazebo (50 guests)
• Reception – Casa Loma Library (180 guests)
• Walima – Fairmont Royal York (250 guests)

Total Budget: $150,000 – $180,000

Design Vision: A 4-Part Journey of Personalized Elegance

Sapphire & Nadeen’s wedding wasn’t just about decor — it was about storytelling through space.

Their fusion Mehndi featured cozy lounge seating and an intimate performance by Ali Sethi. For the Nikkah, we created a forest-inspired chuppah that enhanced the gazebo’s beauty without overpowering it. The reception embraced timeless elegance with crystal lighting in Casa Loma’s iconic Library. For the Walima, we let Fairmont’s architectural charm shine with soft, intentional styling.

💬 From Sapphire’s heartfelt review:

“Abdul and Hafsa were not just vendors — they were our calm, our clarity, and our creative force. With only 30 days to plan and a firm budget, they went above and beyond — adding details we thought we had to give up, just to bring our vision to life.”

📝 Why it was worth every dollar:

  • 4 venues, each requiring unique setup/strike

  • Short 1-month planning window

  • Custom elements sourced from scratch

  • Meticulous coordination across 3 days and 35+ vendors

Final Thoughts: It’s Not Just Decor, It’s Production

Every dollar in luxury decor supports more than the final aesthetic. You’re investing in:

  • Design hours

  • Custom sourcing

  • Complex installations

  • Coordinated logistics

  • A full production team
