Namita & Bikram’s Candlelit Wedding at Hotel X Toronto

Beneath the crystal chandeliers of Victory Ballroom, sculptural candelabras, curving serpentine tables, and all-white florals created a second skyline of candlelight for 264 guests.

Some rooms ask to be filled. Victory Ballroom asks for restraint. Its crystal chandeliers already bring architectural drama to the space, so for Namita and Bikram's wedding at Hotel X Toronto, our approach was to create something equally captivating beneath them.

The answer was a second skyline.

Sculptural candelabras, their clear arms branching into tiers of tapered candles, rose above the reception tables, bringing an intimate layer of light into the room. Rather than relying on one grand focal point, the design created a sense of movement and atmosphere throughout the entire ballroom.

A Palette of Glass, Flame and White

The creative vision began with a refined palette of white florals, clear glass, champagne drapery and soft gold.

Each material was selected for how it interacted with light. Transparent surfaces allowed the candlelight to travel through the arrangements, while reflective details introduced subtle brilliance without overwhelming the room.

A contrast of deep olive green appeared in the stationery, grounding the otherwise luminous palette.

Together, these elements created an environment that felt romantic, dimensional and thoughtfully composed.

Transforming Victory Ballroom

For this 264-guest celebration, the floor plan played an essential role in defining the guest experience.

The dance floor anchored the centre of the ballroom, framed by long banquet tables. Beyond them, a combination of round, rectangular and serpentine tables created movement across the space.

The serpentine tables became one of the defining elements of the design.

Their sculptural curves softened the room's geometry while introducing an unexpected visual rhythm. We positioned the tallest candelabras along these tables, drawing the eye across the ballroom rather than concentrating attention at a single focal point.

Floor-to-ceiling champagne drapery softened the surrounding architecture, creating a warm backdrop for the candlelit compositions.

The result was a ballroom that felt cohesive yet full of visual interest, with each table contributing to the larger experience.

Floral Artistry Designed Around Candlelight

The floral design was developed to complement the architectural quality of the candelabras rather than compete with them.

White hydrangeas, roses, stock, dahlias, lisianthus and spray roses formed soft, layered arrangements around the bases of the towering candle structures.

While the compositions remained predominantly low, select long-stemmed roses reached upward, creating a natural connection between the florals and candlelight above.

Ribbed glass hurricanes added another layer of illumination, surrounding the arrangements with a gentle glow.

Across the round and rectangular tables, the design continued through cut-crystal candle sleeves, warm-toned vessels, votives and delicate clusters of white florals.

The repetition of these elements created consistency while allowing each table arrangement to have its own character.

The Beauty of Thoughtful Details

Beyond the larger installations, the smaller details brought another dimension to the celebration.

Carved white chargers introduced an ornate, architectural quality to the place settings. Taupe linen napkins softened the composition, while olive-green menus featuring the couple's monogram added a subtle contrast.

Delicate gold heart-shaped clips secured the place cards, offering a finishing detail that felt personal without disrupting the overall design.

The olive palette continued through the escort-card display, creating a visual connection between the guest experience and the reception tables.

These carefully considered details helped bring the entire celebration together.

From Rendering to Reality

Every successful transformation begins long before installation day.

For this wedding, our design process included detailed 3D renderings that allowed us to explore the scale, proportions and relationships between the serpentine tables, candelabras and floral arrangements.

The finished installation remained remarkably close to the original concept, while evolving through the final stages of production.

The flowers became slightly more organic in their movement, with long-stemmed roses reaching into the candelabra structures. Glass hurricanes were clustered around the floral compositions, introducing additional depth and warmth.

It is this progression from the original creative vision to the completed environment that makes our approach to wedding design and 3D visualizations so valuable.

A Celebration Defined by Design

What made this wedding memorable was not one single installation, but the way every element contributed to the finished room.

From the architectural curves of the tables to the delicate floral compositions and layers of candlelight, the design created a consistent visual experience throughout Victory Ballroom.

For Namita and Bikram, the celebration began with a clear creative direction and evolved through thoughtful spatial planning, custom décor and floral artistry.

It reflects the approach we bring to luxury wedding design in Toronto: creating environments where every detail serves a larger vision.
